I have only taught Mathematical Physics one time so far. We added this course to the curriculum as an alternative for a 2-course math sequence. However it has not been offered very often because most of our students want to complete the 2-course sequence. I do think there are advantages for some students, particularly those who are more focused on astronomy or going into K-12 teaching, to take this course instead of the longer math sequence. We’ll see whether this course gets offered more regularly as our major continues to grow.
