I haven’t taught Astronomy in a couple of years, since the spring of 2020 (bad year!). I struggle with this course because there is usually a wide range of students who take it – some senior physics majors who want the astronomy background or astrophysics track, but also many first year students who want to take a science class but are not prepared to take intro chemistry or physics. I expect to be teaching this course again in the future, and hope to focus on making the course game-oriented and differentiated to address those different populations.
